Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation
Short Term Care
A Short-Term Stay
We agree with ruby-slippered Dorothy of Oz fame…there’s no place like home. But
sometimes illness or injury necessitates a brief stay for skilled nursing care or
therapy services before returning to independent living.
So how do we define a “short” stay?
At times a short stay encompasses a specific course of treatment; for example, a
2-week course of antibiotics or a month until weight bearing status is restored
after knee replacement surgery. Your specific length of stay will vary depending
on your unique goals and medical needs, so we make sure your plan of care and treatment
is just as individual as you are.
Our Capitol Rehabilitation Unit
If you’re one of many people who need rehabilitation following hospitalization,
we provide a program designed especially with you in mind.
Our quiet, comfortable, therapy suites serve as your home-away-from-home. Each private
room is tastefully decorated with a coordinated comforter and window treatment,
a sitting area with a loveseat and a chair, and a flat-screen TV. The facility also
features internet access and a select dining menu for the comfort of our patients.
As soon as you’re admitted, the discharge process begins to ensure that you not
only get all the care and therapy you need now, but that your transition home will
be smooth and successful.
