Short Term Care

A Short-Term Stay

We understand that the main objective of a resident’s time with us is to return home. But sometimes illness or injury necessitates a brief stay for skilled nursing care or therapy services before returning to independent living.

Throughout a residents stay, we never lose sight of ‘the big picture’, initiating our outcome plans on the day of admission with a focus not only on progress here, but continued recovery and wellness in the community.

So how do we define a “short” stay?

At times a short stay encompasses a specific course of treatment; for example, a 2-week course of antibiotics or a month until weight bearing status is restored after knee replacement surgery. A length of stay will vary depending on individual goals and medical needs, so we make sure our plan of care and treatment includes the goals of the patient. If you’re one of many people who need rehabilitation following hospitalization, we provide a program designed especially with you in mind. Our clinical services include:

  • Physical, occupational, and speech therapy
  • Specialty care for patients recovering from stroke, heart attack, fractures, surgeries, joint replacements, and other illnesses, injuries and disabilities
  • Wound care management
  • Orthopedic care

Our quiet, comfortable, therapy suites serve as your home-away-from-home. Each private room is tastefully decorated with a coordinated comforter and window treatment, a sitting area with a loveseat and a chair, and a flat-screen TV.

As soon as you’re admitted, the discharge process begins to ensure that you not only get all the care and therapy you need now, but that your transition home will be smooth and successful

Respite Care

Are you going out of town for the holidays or on summer vacation?

Do you need a break but worry about the care, comfort, and safety of your loved one while you’re away?

Respite care may be the answer!

Your loved one is admitted on a temporary basis for round-the-clock nursing care, engaging activities and wholesome meals and snacks. So whether you’re going out-of-town for several weeks, or just taking a breather from the hectic pace of daily life, you can relax and enjoy a respite.
